how does it work for Weddings?

We recommend starting to look at your wedding suits 6-9 months before the big day. Some couples book over a year in advance, and we can also accomodate weddings with shorter notice periods where possible.

First Step- Book your wedding consultation

Arrange an appointment with us (usually just the couple to begin with). Whether you're planning to hire, buy, or do a mix of both, we'll guide you through all the options and you can try styles on in-store.

Buying your suit

Once you've chosen your suit, we recommend placing the order as soon as you're ready to secure availability. We'll then book you a Tailored to fit appointment around 6 weeks before the wedding to ensure everything fits perfectly.

Hiring your suit

Hire suits follow a slightly different timeline. We invite the wedding party in around 8 weeks before the wedding to take measurements. Suits are typically ready for collection 3-7 days before the big day.

faq for weddings

  • Do we need to make an appointment?

    Yes, we operate primarily by appointment. This ensures a dedicated member of our team is available to look after you and guide you through all the options. Appointments allow us to give you the time and attention you deserve, as choosing wedding suits can take a little while and we're always happy to answer any questions along the way.

  • Do I need to bring the whole wedding party for the initial consultation?

    No, we suggest that just the couple themselves come to the initial wedding consultation and then we will get everyone in for fittings nearer the time.

  • What do we do if we cant get a member of the wedding party in for sizes?

    No problem at all. We can email a simple meaurement form for them to complete using a tape measure, and we'll take care of the rest to ensure the best possible fit.

  • How long before the wedding do you get sizes?

    Purchase Suits;

    We suggest getting sizes as soon as youve made your selection- our retailers such as Marc Darcy can discontinue suits so if you've fallen in love with a particular suit- grab it early, we don't need to tailor the suits until around 6 weeks before

    Hire Suits;

    We get all the sizes for the whole wedding party around 8 weeks before the wedding.

  • Do you tailor suits to fit?

    If your purchasing a suit;

    Yes, we offer both minor and more significant alterations to help achieve the best possible fit (within reason). Tailoring is charged seperately and is not included in the suit purchase price. We only carry out alterations on suits purchased in-store, which helps us keep our tailoring prices as competative as possible.

    If your hiring;

    Minor alterations are included in the hire price. These typically include trouser length, sleeve length, waistcoat adjustment, and occasional waist adjustments. Our hire range comes in an extensive size selection, so it's very rare that we can't achieve a great fit.

  • Do you do children's suits?

    Purchase suits;

    Yes! Many of the ranges we stock also come in matching children's sizes. Our most popular range, Marc Darcy, starts from age 1 to age 14, making it easy to coordinate little ones with the wedding party

    The timing depends on your wedding date, but we aim to have all hire suits ready 3-7 days before the big day. We kindly ask that they are returned the next working day after the wedding.
